Frequently Asked Questions:

What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is a fraternity of men that spans the globe.

How old is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry comes from a tradition hundreds of years old. The modern organization was founded in England in the year 1717, but the word Freemason predates this by about 400 years.

Is Freemasonry a secret society?

No, it is not. Freemasons are not at all required or encouraged to hide their membership in the Fraternity. While Masons are required to keep the rituals secret from those who are not Masons, over the many years of its existence, those rituals have found their way into the public regardless.

How can I join?

Any man who wishes to become a Freemason may obtain a petition from our or any of the many other Masonic Lodges in New Hampshire.

When does Harmony Lodge meet?

Harmony Lodge meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month except January and February. While our meetings are limited to members only, we hold a dinner at 6:30 that anyone may attend.
